As companies seek to increase sales by growing their service offerings, they often need a scalable enterprise platform to quote, establish, and manage service contracts with their customers. Oracle EBS Service Contract does provide core functionalities for contract management, however, general feedback from users indicated that the screens can be cumbersome to use and that impedes their productivity. Business stakeholders were eager for an enterprise solution to optimize business processes and enhance existing EBS functionalities. Oracle CPQ Cloud was the answer! As part the Optimization Project, CPQ was leveraged as a strategic platform to config, price, quote, and manage service contracts. The project was designed to deploy key functions and features in phases by using Agile Implementation Methodology. Certain contract management tasks used to take hours now can be accomplished in minutes. Renewing a complex contract can be done in hours instead of days. Moreover, CPQ Cloud established a scalable platform for the organization to deploy new functions and features in the future to further optimize business processes and improve productivity.
